To close out our lab’s first semester at Fairfield, we got together for a pizza social! It was great to celebrate the end of the semester, reflect on our work, and bond with each other. We are so proud of what each member has accomplished!
May 2026
Dr. Lin has received a Summer Research Grant from the Science Institute and Summer Research Stipends from the Faculty Research Committee at Fairfield University. This support will fund summer research projects and provide mentorship opportunities for our research student Tristan. Congratulations!
March/April 2026
Dr. Lin presented the lab’s work “When Nonstandard Meets Standard: Language and Affective Dynamics in Accent-Diverse Group Interactions” at the Society for Personality and Social Psychology’s annual convention (2026) in Chicago.
February 2026
Dr. Lin was elected to the position of Diversity Representative and the Chair of Diversity Committee on the Connecticut Psychological Association (CPA) Board of Directors.
December 2025
Dr. Lin joined Fairfield University’s Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences as a tenure-track Assistant Professor. Very Exciting!
September 2025
Our lab director has successfully defended her Ph.D. dissertation at the Department of Psychological Sciences at the University of Connecticut. She is officially Dr. Merrisa Lin.
